Illinois State Senate District 59 issued the following announcement on April 27.
State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) issued the following statement urging state leaders to call lawmakers back to Springfield:
“This health crisis has had far-reaching consequences and impacted so many people. Our constituents need to know that their government is doing everything possible to represent their interests and provide relief to our communities. I urge state leaders to recognize the need for lawmakers to return to Springfield and begin taking up legislative action on critical issues facing our state.”
This current health situation has required healthcare workers, first responders, grocery store employees and other essential workers to bravely step-up and work day-after-day. It’s time lawmakers follow suit, return to Springfield and represent the people of Illinois.”
