North Chicago Community Unit School District #187 Independent Authority and the Financial Oversight Panel met Jan. 7.

Here are the minutes provided by the panel:

1. Call to Order / Roll Call -

The meeting was called to order at 6:04 by Mrs. King. Mrs. King, Dr. Gaytan Morales and Ms. Gonzalez were present. Ms. Riley joined the meeting at 6:27.

For the FOP, Mr. Kneeland called the meeting to order at 6:05. Mr. Kneeland, Mrs. Coleman, and Mr. Adamczyk were present. Mr. Bueso arrived at 6:06.

2. Moment of Silence/Pledge of Allegiance

3. Motion to Approve Meeting Agenda as Presented

For the IA, Dr. Gaytan Morales made the motion to approve, seconded by Ms. Gonzalez. Motion passed 3-0.

For the FOP, Mrs. Coleman made the motion to approve, seconded by Mr. Adamczyk. Motion passed 4-0/

4. Executive Session – I move that we enter into closed session under the exceptions set forth in the Illinois

Open Meetings Act as follows:

● To conduct board training with a state agency for the purpose of board self-evaluation training

For the IA, Dr. Gaytan Morales made a motion to approve, seconded by Ms. Gonzalez. Motion passed 3-0.

For the FOP, Mr. Adamczyk made the motion to approve, Mrs Coleman seconded the motion. Motion passed 4-0.

Reconvene Open Session

5. Adjourn

A motion to adjourn the IA was made by Dr. Gaytan Morales and seconded by Mrs. Riley. Motion approved by voice vote at 8:11

A motion to adjourn the FOP was made by Mrs. Coleman, and seconded by Mr. Adamczyk. Motion approved by unanimous vote at 8:11.
