Johnson County taxpayers ranked 72nd in total sales taxes paid per county in 2024, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, residents paid approximately $1.7 million in sales taxes during 2024.

The county ranked 70th in the Prairie State the year before, with approximately $1.8 million spent in sales taxes.
