The City Council of the City of Vienna met in regular session, Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Vienna City Hall with the following members and guests:

There being a quorum, Mayor Penrod called the meeting of the Vienna City Council to order at 6:30 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS
Alderman Racey made a motion to Authorize and Approve the Omnibus Consent Agenda consisting of the June 5, 2024 meeting minutes, May Treasurer Report and the Warrant ($24,021.58). Alderman Hill seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
Mayor Penrod reviewed a tentative Annual Appropriation Ordinance 24-01, for the current fiscal year ending April 30, 2025. The ordinance would be placed on the next meeting agenda for approval.
Alderman Moore made a motion to Authorize and Approve to purchase concrete for an addition to the recent softball batting cage project. Estimated cost $1,000.00 (cost share with VHS/VHS). Alderman Hill seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.

ELECTED/APPOINTED OFFICIALS
Mayor Penrod discussed light bulb/ballast replacement at the ballpark. Penrod said around twenty bulbs were out on both girls and boy's upper fields. Penrod said he was informed IBEW labor union may be able to assist with the project. Adam Shoemaker asked if he could provide a quote for LED lights. There was a general consent of council to accept a quote from Shoemaker.
Penrod discussed options for repair of the old restrooms at the city park. Penrod noted significant creek erosion behind the facility. Council had discussion.
Penrod said Max Hook had inquired of re-establishing a park board concerning ballpark repairs/needs. The board would include members from each school, council and youth league.
Penrod said Midwest Material asphalt plant would be scheduling a safety walk through with both city fire and police departments.
Penrod said the installation of city park playground equipment by Pleasant Ridge Church volunteers would be scheduled in the next few weeks.
As there was no further business to discuss, Alderman Tuey made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Alderman Pitts. Mayor Penrod declared the meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
