New Simpson Hill Community School District 32 Board of Education met March 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

President Hoffard called the regular board meeting of March 09, 2023, to order at 6:00PM.  Present were: Hoffard, Ross, Hill, Widowski, Treat, and Baity. Mize was absent

Administration present:  Mr. Nighswander and Ms. Yandell Visitors: None

Motion by Widowski seconded by Baity to approve the regular minutes of the 02-13-23 board meetings, carried.

Motion by Treat seconded by Baity to approve the financial report as presented and payment of the bills as listed in the amount of $226,432., carried.

ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: Enrollment/Mobility Report; Calendar/Menu; Building & gym floor 

Motion by Treat seconded by Hill to amend the FY23 Calendar as presented, carried.

Motion by Hill seconded by Widowski to approve the FY24 Calendar as presented, carried.

Motion by Treat seconded by Baity to approve the fees for FY24 as presented, carried.

Motion by Hill seconded by Widowski to convene to closed session at 7:00 PM to discuss:

Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employee of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) carried.

Motion by Hill seconded by Widowski to resume open session at 7:32 PM, carried.

Motion by Baity seconded by Treat to approve the principal evaluation as presented, carried.

Motion by Hill seconded by Widowski to approve the certified teacher evaluations as presented, carried.

Motion by Hill seconded by Ross to adjourn, carried.
