Illinois state Sen. Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro) was grateful for how students in her district celebrated the men and women who served our country on Veterans Day.
Bryant wrote about her visit to the school in a Nov. 11 Facebook post.
"The students of Waltonville really know how to celebrate their veterans," Bryant wrote in the post. "Rep. Severin and I really appreciated the invitation to attend the luncheon."
Her visit to Waltonfville came just days after she was reelected to serve the 58th Senate District. According to the Chicago Sun Times, she was unopposed in the general election.
Bryant also wished two of her siblings a Happy Veterans Day on her personal Facebook page and shared it on her official Facebook page. She wrote, "Happy Veteran’s Day to 2 of my siblings. Thank you for your service. Kellie Courtney Crowe, TJ Courtney."
She also visited Woodlawn for their Veterans Day Ceremony and wrote about it on Facebook. "Woodlawn Veterans Day ceremony yesterday. A great way to say, 'thank you for your service,'" she wrote in the post.
In the Nov. 8, 2022 election, Bryant ran unopposed in her efforts to serve the residents of District 58.
