Opening The regular meeting of the Vienna Public School District #55 Board of Education was called to order by Mrs. Sherie Smith, President, at 6:00 p.m. with the following members present.

Present S. Smith, President S. Borders, Vice-President P. Trovillion L. Hook S. Yadloski K. Johnson

Absent T. Betts

Others Present G. Frehner, A. Hanks, J, Douglas, T. Trovillion, S. Robinson

Sherie Smith appointed Kim Johnson as secretary pro tem.

Consent Agenda Motion by Johnson seconded by Borders to approve the consent agenda as presented. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Yadloski, Hook, Smith, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Closed Session Motion by Borders seconded by Trovillion to go in to closed session at 6:23 p.m. to discuss (1) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of employees of the District or legal counsel for the District including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the District or against legal counsel of the District, to determine its validity. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Yadloski, Hook, Smith, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Motion by Borders seconded by Johnson to come out of closed session and return to regular open session at 8:18 p.m. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Yadloski, Hook, Smith, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Voluntary Transfer Motion by Johnson seconded by Trovillion to approve the voluntary transfer of Adam Hook to second grade for the 2022-2023 school year. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Yadloski, Smith, Johnson. Abstaining: Hook. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Internal Posting Motion by Yadloski seconded by Borders to authorize the superintendent to initiate an initial/internal job vacancy posting for a 4" grade teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Hire Track Coaches Motion by Borders seconded by Hook to hire Desiree Walter and Elaney Spore for the 2021-22 school year. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Yadloski, Hook, Smith, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Accept Resignations Motion by Johnson seconded by Yadloski to accept the resignation of Beth Palmer as head girls basketball coach. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Yadloski, Hook, Smith, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Motion by Yadloski seconded by Johnson to accept the resignation of Adam Hook as head baseball coach. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Yadloski, Hook, Smith, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Approve Lease Motion by Johnson seconded by Borders to approve a bus lease for purchase financing agreement with Legence Bank of Vienna, Illinois, as presented. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Yadloski, Hook, Smith, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Repeal Resolution Motion by Borders seconded by Yadloski to approve a resolution to repeal the August 9, 2021 resolution abating the working cash fund as presented. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Yadloski, Hook, Smith, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Surplus Property Motion by Yadloski seconded by Borders to authorize and direct the sale and/or disposition of personal/surplus property in accordance with 105 ILCS 5/10-27.8, as presented. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Yadloski, Hook, Smith, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Set Graduation Motion by Hook seconded by Borders to set the 8grade graduation ceremony for
