The regular meeting of the Vienna Public School District #55 Board of Education was called to order by Mrs. Sherie Smith, President, at 6:08 p.m. with the following members present.

Motion by Betts seconded by Borders to go in to closed session at 7:03 p.m. to discuss (1) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of employees of the District or legal counsel for the District including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the District or against legal counsel of the District, to determine its validity. Motion by Betts seconded by Borders to approve a memorandum of understanding with the Vienna Grade School Education Association regarding the fall 2021 semester COVID-19 mitigation plan, as presented. Resignation
Motion by Hook seconded by Borders to accept the resignation of Amber Blaylock as needed individual aide, effective August 13, 2021. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Yadloski, Hook, Smith, Betts, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.
Mrs. Smith read a letter of intent to retire from Ann Taylor, nurse.
Motion by Betts seconded by Hook to accept the resignation of Ann Taylor, nurse, effective September 30, 2021. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Yadloski, Hook, Betts, Johnson. Voting no: none. Abstain: Smith. Motion carried.
Employment
Motion by Yadloski seconded by Betts to employ Brittany Hunt as full-time school nurse for the 2021-22 school year effective October 1, 2021. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Yadloski, Hook, Smith, Betts, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.
