Opening The regular meeting of the Vienna Public School District #55 Board of Education was called to order by Mrs. Sherie Smith, President, at 6:09 p.m. with the following members present

Consent Agenda Motion by Trovillion seconded by Betts to approve the consent agenda as presented. Roll call. Voting yes: Trovillion, Hook, Smith, Betts, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.
Comments from Employees and Public Mrs. Douglas commented on how happy the teachers are to have enough Chromebooks for all their students.

Closed Session Motion by Betts seconded by Trovillion to go in to closed session at 6:48 p.m. to discuss (1) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of employees of the District or legal counsel for the District including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the District or against legal counsel of the District, to determine its validity. Roll call. Voting yes: Trovillion, Hook, Smith, Betts, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.
Motion by Johnson seconded by Betts to come out of closed session and return to regular open session at 9:01 p.m. Roll call. Voting yes: Trovillion, Hook, Smith, Betts, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Job Posting Motion by Johnson seconded by Trovillion to authorize the superintendent to initiate an external job vacancy posting for a junior high social studies teacher for the 2021-22 school year. Roll call. Voting yes: Trovillion, Hook, Smith, Betts, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.
Hire Coaches Motion by Betts seconded by Johnson to hire Julie Crain and Patty Allbritten as track coaches for the 2020-21 school year. Roll call. Voting yes: Trovillion, Hook, Smith, Betts, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.
Administration Evaluations/Contracts Motion by Johnson seconded by Trovillion to approve the 2020-21 principal's evaluation as presented. Roll call. Voting yes: Trovillion, Hook, Smith, Betts, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.
Motion by Trovillion seconded by Johnson to approve a 3-year principal contract with Adam Hanks, as presented. Roll call. Voting yes: Trovillion, Hook, Smith, Betts, Johnson. Voting no: none. Motion carried.
The superintendent's evaluation and contract were tabled.
Adjourn Motion by Johnson seconded by Trovillion to adjourn at 9:06 p.m. All voted yea. Motion carried.
