The regular meeting of the Vienna Public School District #55 Board of Education was called to order by Mrs. Sherie Smith, President, at 6:08 p.m. with the following members present.

Motion by Betts seconded by Hook to go in to closed session at 7:05 p.m. to discuss (1) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of employees of the District or legal counsel for the District including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the District or against legal counsel of the District, to determine its validity. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Smith, Betts, Johnson, Hook. Voting no: none. Motion carried.

Memorandums of Understanding
Motion by Borders seconded by Hook to approve a memorandum of understanding with the Vienna Grade School Education Association regarding use of sick and/or personal days related to COVID-19 by certified staff for the 2020-21 school year, as presented. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Smith, Betts, Johnson, Hook. Voting no: none. Motion carried.
Motion by Hook seconded by Trovillion to approve a performance evaluation reform act memorandum of understanding with the Vienna Grade School Education Association regarding certified staff evaluations for the 2020-21 school year, as presented. Mr. Frehner distributed The PRESS Plus customized Board policies to hold for 30 days.
School Safety Plan
Motion by Hook seconded by Borders to approve the 2020-21 Vienna Public School District #55 school safety plan, as presented. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Smith, Betts, Johnson, Hook. Voting no: none. Motion carried.
Resignation
Mrs. Smith read a letter of resignation from Sonny Bagby.
Motion by seconded by Betts to accept the resignation of Sonny Bagby, as-needed individual aide, effective August 28, 2020. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Smith, Betts, Johnson, Hook. Voting no: none. Motion carried
Employment
Motion by Hook seconded by Trovillion to employ Michelle Coryell as an as-needed individual aide for the 2020-21 school year. Roll call. Voting yes: Borders, Trovillion, Smith, Betts, Johnson, Hook. Voting no: none. Motion carried.
Other
The Board and administration will begin working toward revising the current scheduling plan.
