Union County Board of Commissioners met Sept. 11.

I. Roll Call
Commissioners in attendance are Kent Pitts, Bobby Toler Jr., Dale Foster, Max Miller & David Gould.
II. Call Meeting to Order
The Union County Board of Commissioners met for a regular meeting in the Union County Courthouse Community Room at 08:30am. County Chairman Max Miller called the meeting to order.
III. Approval of Minutes
Regular Meeting Minutes- 08/28/20 Mr. Gould made the motion to approve the regular meeting minutes from 08/28/20 and Mr. Pitts seconded the motion.

IV. Public Comments
Union County Sheriff, Scott Harvel announced that he has hired a new custodian for the courthouse that is starting September 21st, Brandon Shaffer.
V. Committee Reports
Mr. Toler attended a Union/Alexander County 911 Board meeting and will start using the Power Phone system and they are starting to work on the new budget.
Mr. Toler announced that the Southern Five meeting was canceled.
VI. Building Permits
1. 06-33-05-051-D 2230 Lake Road, Dongola for David Karraker
2. 05-21-03-741-A 280 McClure Ln, Anna for Don & Lisa Skelton
Mr. Foster made the motion to approve the two building permits and Mr. Pitts seconded the motion.

A. Approve Payment of Bills
Mr. Gould made the motion to approve the payment of the bills and Mr. Foster seconded the motion.

B. Township Road 266 - Cook Lane - Memorandum of Decision
Kevin Grammer, Union County Engineer, stated that he has presented the Memorandum of Decision and read the Memorandum. There were no objections from anyone during the hearings.
C. Union County Senior Citizens Contribution
Mr. Miller made the motion to transfer $6000.00 to the Senior Citizens fund and Mr. Toler seconded the motion.
X. Executive Session
Mr. Pitts made the motion to go into Executive Session to discuss Pending Litigation and Employees and Mr. Foster seconded the motion at 8:43am.

Executive Session Ended at 9:57am.
