Joppa-Maple Grove Community Unit School District 38 Board of Education met Sept. 10.

President Castleman called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Roll Call: Gail Stubblefield, Peggy McNeill, Stacey Reames, Danny Burnett, Denise Meyer, Chris McGinness. All members present. Others present include Superintendent, Dr. Vickie Artman and Principal Dr. Dufour.
Motion by Stacey and second by Peggy to go into closed session for the purpose of the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees of the public body. 5 ilcs 120(c)(9) and the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees. 5ilcs 120(c)(1)
All voted yes. Went into closed session at 6:31 p.m.
Motion by Peggy and second by Stacey to resume regular meeting at 6:41 p.m.
All voted yes; m/c.
Motion by Stacey and second by Peggy to hire Amy McGinness as District Bookkeeper at a salary of $60,000 per year plus benefits.
