6 Hardin County residents in their sixties test positive for COVID-19

As of September 27, there have been six Hardin County residents in their sixties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 155 residents in their sixties in the county who had been tested, meaning that three percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through September 27, there have been 40 confirmed COVID-19 cases and no deaths from the coronavirus in Hardin County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
