April 13, 2020
While on patrol, a Metropolis Officer observed Trenton L Morrison,24, Griggsville, IL walking down Metropolis St. The Officer was aware that Morrison was wanted on a warrant. The Officer advised him to stop. Morrison ignored the officer and continued. When the officer placed his hand on the suitcase Morrison was pulling, Morrison took off running. A foot chase ensued. As the Officer caught up to him a struggle ensued. The Taser was deployed and Morrison was taken into custody. A search revealed numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Morrison was wanted on a warrant issued by Pike County for a felony count of Forgery. He was also charged with resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. Morrison was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
April 17, 2020
Metropolis Police responded to a burglary and theft call which occurred at a residence in the 500 block of W. 6th St. Investigation revealed that Teresa S Neimeyer,29, Metropolis and another subject entered the residence and stole some items. Teresa S Neimeyer was arrested and charged with Burglary and Theft. The other subject has been identified and a warrant is being sought for his arrest. Neimeyer was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
April 18, 2020
A Metropolis Sergeant observed a white Ford Pick-up truck pass by him on Ferry and 8th St. The Sergeant recognized the driver as Bohdi L Mason,27, Metropolis. The Sergeant was aware that Mason had a suspended driver’s license. A computer confirmed he was still suspended. A traffic stop was conducted. Mason was charged and taken to the Metropolis Police Dept for processing. Mason posted bond and was released.
Metropolis Police were called to big John’s for a theft report. The investigation showed that a subject later identified as Laura Lynn Nichols,63, Metropolis paid for a dozen roses, however, she took 19 roses and left the store. The manager attempted to get Nichols to pay for the difference, but Nichols denied taking the extra roses. Officers reviewed the video and it clearly showed her taking 19 roses. Nichols was arrested and charged with retail theft. Nichols was able to post bond and was released after being processed.
The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
