March 24, 2020
Metropolis Officers with the assistance of the Massac County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 17 Faughn Ln. During the course of the warrant, Justin C Stuart, 32, Metropolis was arrested on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for Driving while license suspended. Also Arrested was Joe J Taylor, 27, Paducah, KY. Taylor was wanted on a Massac County warrant for Meth related charges. Both were lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
March 25, 2020
Metropolis Officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 600 block of Johnson St. Upon arrival, Officers learned that it was only a verbal argument. However, Brandon R. Evans, 36, Metropolis was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for Domestic Battery. Evans was arrested and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
Metropolis Officers were called to Southgate Nursing and Rehab. Employees advised that a subject disregarded the quarantine signs and entered the premises. He refused to leave after being told numerous times he could be infecting the patients. Jeremy L Lynch,30, Metropolis was located trying to hide behind some cars. He was arrested for criminal trespass to property. He was also wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for resisting arrest. Lynch was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
March 28, 2020
Metropolis Officers were called to a residence in the 800 block of E. 3rd. The caller stated that James Clint Stevens,37, Metropolis had violated an order of protection. Stevens came onto her property and caused a disturbance. Officers located Stevens a few blocks away. Stevens was arrested for violation of an order of protection. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
Jennifer L Herring,44, Metropolis was arrested on Devers Rd near alexander Ln. Herring was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for Theft. She was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
