Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Alexander County?

There were three offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Alexander County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Alexander County were men. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 45-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 2007.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Craig L. Davis. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2007 when he was 32 years old. He is now 45.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Alexander County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
