Shawnee CUSD 84 School District issued the following announcement on Feb. 29.
Congrats to this year's local history fair winners. 1st place was Courtney Smith with Breaking Barriers and Building Leaders (4H), 2nd place was Hannah Sichling & Caleb Nicholson with Nine Angels, and 3rd place was Ashlin Tweedy and Kaden Baltzell with Bonnie & Clyde: Heroes or Villains? They will advance to SIUC regionals March 21st. Also advancing will be Hunter Sullivan & Kassidy Baber with Marion's Survival Story and Josh Hammonds and Devin Clendenin with The Tri State Tornado of 1925.
