Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.

From the Office of the Director of Public Safety: Arrest Summary, February 16-22, 2020;

February 20, 2020

Bobby W. Brisentine,19, Metropolis was arrested in a residence in the Spence Apartments. Brisentine was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for Theft. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

February 21, 2020

Metropolis Officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of E. 3rd. Upon arrival, Officers learned that the victim had been locked out of the home. While trying to diffuse the arguments, the victim was struck twice by Janica J Scott, 25 Metropolis. Metropolis Officers then arrested Scott for domestic battery. She was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Joseph A. Mounce,31, Metropolis was arrested in the 1600 block of Filmore. Mounce was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Paducah Kentucky for fraud. Mounce was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Charles L Johnson, 52, Metropolis was arrested at the Citgo. Officers found him sleeping in the gaming area. A computer check revealed that Johnson was wanted on two warrants. Both warrants were issued by Massac County for Theft. Johnson was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

February 22, 2020

Metropolis Officers were called to a residence on Crestview. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the victim who stated the Ryne Lee Collins,36, Metropolis had taken her phone and then broke it. Collins had left prior to the arrival of MPD officers. A while later, a Sergeant located Collins. Collins was found to have a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for Burglary. Collins was charged with the warrant as well as theft and criminal damage to property. Collins was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
