METROPOLIS POLICE DEPARTMENT: Paducah Teen Arrested After Threatening Students

Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on Nov. 22.

Come on parents! Educate your children. Just like you cannot say bomb in an airport or fire in a movie theatre, YOU CANNOT make threats at or about schools without criminal prosecution. These are the times we live in. ZERO TOLERANCE FOR THREATS.

Paducah Teen Arrested After Threatening Students

PADUCAH - A Paducah teen has been taken into custody after reports of terroristic threatening at Paducah Tilghman High School.

According to the Paducah Police Department, on Wednesday police were contacted by school officials in regards to a student that allegedly had a "kill list", and intended to act on it Thursday.

Detectives spoke with the 14-year-old student and his father. The student reportedly told officers that the list wasn't real, but admitted that he had threatened to bring a gun to school.

The teen was taken to the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center.
