New Simpson Hill School District 32 Board of Education met Sept. 12.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
President Hoffard called the Budget Hearing of September 12, 2019, to order at 6:00PM.
Present were: Hoffard, Craig, Mize, Hill, and Treat. Ross and Widowski were absent.
Administration present: Mr. Nighswander. Mrs. Armstrong was absent.
Superintendent gave a presentation of the budget.
No testimony was given.
Motion by Mize seconded by Hill to adjourn the special meeting, carried.
President Hoffard called the regular board meeting of September 13, 2018, to order at 6:03PM.
Present were: Hoffard, Craig, Mize, Hill, and Treat. Ross and Widowski were absent.
Administration present: Mr. Nighswander. Mrs. Armstrong was absent.
Motion by Craig seconded by Hill to approve and make public record the closed session minutes of the 08-08-19 board meeting, carried.
Motion by Mize seconded by Treat to approve the financial report as presented and payment of the bills as listed in the amount of $34,178., carried.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: Enrollment/Mobility Report; Calendar; School Construction and Maintenance Grants, IASB Shawnee Division Meeting
Motion by Hill seconded by Mize to approve the FY20 New Simpson Hill budget as presented, carried.
Motion by Craig seconded by Treat to authorize the Superintendent to begin work on the 2019 tax levy, carried.
Motion by Mize seconded by Craig to review and approve Policy 7:180-Prevention of and Response to Bullying Intimidation and Harassment and that the policy complies with the requirements in the School Code, 105 ILCS 5/27-23.7, carried.
Motion by Treat seconded by Mize to approve the dates for the 8th grade class trip to Chicago on May 6th and May 7th as presented, carried.
Motion by Craig seconded by Hill to approve the Emergency/Crisis Management Plan as presented, carried.
Motion by Mize seconded by Hill to adjourn, carried.
