City of Anna issued the following announcement on Nov. 13.
9th Annual Fundraiser for New Coats, New Hope Campaign. Each year, hundreds of children across Southern Illinois face the cold without a warm coat. 100% of your donation will be used to purchase NEW, winter coats for children affected by abuse, neglect, disaster, or personal need. All coats are purchased through the non-profit organization, Operation Warm.
Free coats will be distributed to children through the Children’s Medical & Mental Health Resource Network, Family Counseling Center and all Southern Seven Head Start locations.
Check or money orders payable to Operation Warm. You may mail or drop off donations at WIBH Radio, 330 S. Main St., Anna, IL 62906, or by clicking here. The deadline to donate is December 13, 2019.
