Union County Board of Commissioners met July 12.

I. Call Meeting to Order
The Union County Board of Commissioners met for a regular meeting in the Union County Courthouse Community Room at 08:30am. County Chairman Max Miller called the meeting to order.
II. Roll Call
Commissioners in attendance are Kent Pitts, Bobby Toler Jr., Dale Foster, Max Miller and David Gould
III. Approval of Minutes
Mr. Gould made the motion to approve the minutes for 06/28/19 and Mr. Foster seconded the motion.

V. Committee Reports
Mr. Toler attended a 911 meeting and all the money has been transferred in the accounts from Alexander County. Some CD's have stayed in Alexander County Banks because the rates were better.
Mr. Miller stated that him and Angie Johnson, County Administrator met with the 2 members of the Anna City Council and are working out some particulars over the land needed for the new Animal Control Building.

A. Acceptance of 2018 Union County Audit
Megan Cochran gave a presentation of the audit for the County of Union for the 2018 fiscal year. The report will be filed in the County Clerk Office. Ms. Cochran stated that all the discrepancy responses satisfy her findings. Mr. Gould made the motion to accept the Audit Report and Mr. Pitts seconded the motion.

B. Ordinance Authorizing a Mutual Aid Box Alarm System Agreement
Ambulance Director, Grant Caple asked to table due to some language needing worked out with the contract.

D. Approval of Union County Printer/Copier Bid for Lease
Angie Johnson, County Administrator stated that there were four bids turned in for this RFP. The terms are 60 month lease with a $1 buy out at the end. CDS was $129.25, Heartland Digital for $135.40, GFI Digital for $152.73 and T &I Office Supplies for $171.00. Mr. George Warren of T & I Office Supplies asked to speak and Mr. Miller allowed him. Mr. Warren stated that he sold the old equipment in 2009 and it has averaged 530 black and white copies and 53 color copies a month. The old machine is rated for 40,000 plus copies a month and he feels that they could have used a lesser model to be quoted. He's had the county's business for a long time and feels he does a great job with all of his customers in the courthouse. Mr. Miller stated that he appreciated him but let him know that the fairest way to buy equipment is to bid it out. Mr. Miller then mad to accept CDS as the vendor for leasing the printer/copier and authorize the county administrator to sign the lease and Mr. Gould seconded the motion.

E. Approval of Union County Clerk Computer Bids
County Clerk, Lance Meisenheimer stated that his office put a RFP bid out for new computers and received 3 bids. Mayer Networks for $7,848.41, CDS $7,795.82 and MRA International for $7,539.64 (some licensing was not quoted which is worth $534.99 to $683.00 according to the other two bids). County Clerk Meisenheimer, then recommended to go with Mayer Networks bid because knowing the networks and being the current IT company with the county it was worth the extra $50. Mr. Gould made the motion to use the County Clerks recommendation to go with Mayer Networks bid and have the County Administrator work out the details and sign the purchase order. Mr. Pitts seconded the motion.

F. Resolution Appointing Directors of the Union County Hospital District - Chris Boyd, Brad Donna and Rollie Hawk
