Union County Board of Supervisors met Oct. 15.

The Union County Board of Supervisors met in Regular Session on Monday October 15, 2018. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM with the following members present: Ron Riley, Dennis Brown and Dale Cline.
AGENDA: Motion by Cline and seconded by Brown to approve the Agenda. All voting aye, motion carried.
MINUTES: Motion by Brown and seconded by Cline to approve the minutes from October 8, 2018. All voting aye, motion carried.
OPEN FORUM: No one spoke in open forum.
SPEER FINANCIAL: Maggie Burger, Speer Financial SR Vice President CIPMA,
discussed bonding and refinancing a bond with the Board of Supervisors.
INVENERGY-WIND TURBINE PROJECTS: Mark Zaccone, Nick Matchen and Matt Bertler from Invenergy and Matt Ott from Mid America discussed the project of approximately 70 – 80 wind turbines that may be set up in Union and Adams County.
Also present for meeting: Jessie Giza, Theresa Pudenz, Randy Huewe, Wayne Pantini, Zach Gunsolley, Wayne Hill, Rick Friday, Linda Buxton, TJ Dunphy, and Sara Scull.
Giza spoke for the wind turbines coming to Union County and felt it would be good for Economic Development. Giza has worked for Mid America in the other counties that have turbines and they are very good to work with and work well with the individuals who put up turbines on their properties. Buxton asked about the cement in the ground when putting up the turbines.
ENGINEER: Union County Engineer, Zach Gunsolley, presented and discussed the weekly maintenance activity report. Equipment Operator 1 Position: Motion by Cline and seconded by Brown to approve Todd Kinkade for Equipment Operator 1 Position at a starting wage of $15.21. All voting aye, motion carried.
LIQUOR LICENSE: Motion by Cline and seconded by Brown to approve the Liquor License for Fiscal Year 17-18 and 18-19 for Pine Valley Golf. All voting aye, motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:30pm.
