New Simpson Hill Community School District 32 Board of Education met Dec. 12.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
President Hoffard called the tax levy hearing of December 12, 2024, to order at 6:00PM. Present were: Hoffard, Mize, Ross, Hill, Treat, and Baity. Widwoski was absent. Administration present: Ms. Yandell, Mr. Evetts, and Mrs. Anderson Visitors present: None
Presentation was given my Superintendent Yandell.
Having no more testimony, President Hoffard declared the meeting adjourned.
President Hoffard called the regular board meeting of December 12, 2024, to order at 6:05PM. Present were: Hoffard, Mize, Ross, Hill, Treat, and Baity. Widwoski was absent. Administration present: Ms. Yandell, Mr. Evetts, and Mrs. Anderson Visitors: None
Motion by Hill seconded by Treat to approve the minutes of the 11-14-24 board meeting, carried.
Motion by Hill seconded by Baity to approve the financial report as presented and payment of the bills as listed in the amount of $193,269., carried.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: Enrollment/Mobility Report; Calendar; Grant Reports, Mulit-District Planning participation
Motion by Mize seconded by Hill to approve the 2024 tax levy as presented, carried.
Motion by Hill seconded by Mize to approve Press Policy Issue 117 changes as presented in the October 2024 update memo, carried.
Motion by Hill seconded by Baity to approve the January Board meeting date change to January 16, 2024, carried.
Motion by Baity seconded by Treat to approve the Property Tax Relief Grant application, carried.
Motion by Ross seconded by Treat motion to agree to participate in a Multi-District Planning Process with Vienna High School, carried.
Motion by Treat seconded by Hill to convene to closed session at 7:45 PM to discuss: ∙ Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employee of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) carried.
Motion by Treat seconded by Baity to resume open session at 8:00 PM, carried.
Motion by Mize seconded by Hill to adjourn, carried.
