New Simpson Hill Community School District 32 Board of Education will meet Dec. 12.
NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX INCREASE FOR NEW SIMPSON HILL CONSOLIDATED DISTRICT NUMBER 32
I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for New Simpson Hill Consolidated School District Number 32 for 2023 will be held on December 12, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the board room at New Simpson Hill School.
Any person desiring to appear at the public hearing and present testimony to the taxing district may contact Rebecca Yandell, Superintendent, New Simpson Hill School, 95 Tunnel Hill Rd., Tunnel Hill, IL 62972, (618) 658-8536.
II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2023 were $674,968.
The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2024 are $791,450. This represents a 17.26% increase over the previous year.
III. The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2023 were $128,919.
The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2024 are $135,414.
IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2023 were $803,887.
The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2024 are $926,864. This represents a 15.30% increase over the previous year.
