Items of Interest from Teachers: Mrs. Houseman is moving to include transfer goals for learning in all of her classes. Transfer goals indicate what students should be able to do with their learning, including applying it to new scenarios and applying the learning without prompting. These transfer goals are available for review on her website. On August 14th, the National Honor Society wrote welcome-back and inspirational messages in chalk outside the AJ doors, hoping to encourage classmates as the school year began. Unfortunately, rain washed away their efforts, but the positive intentions remained. Kristin Chamness created a beautiful Welcome Back balloon arch for students to walk through on Thursday. A mad rain cell came through early Friday morning, so Cham rushed over and with some great helpers they were able to salvage the beautiful arch.
