Hardin County Community Unit School District 1 Board of Education met March 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Special called meeting of the Hardin County Community Unit School District No. 1 met in the board room at the District office. The meeting was called to order by Britt Belford at 6:31 p.m. Present were: Ryan Vaughn Greg McDowell, Britt Belford, Ryan Cowsert, Jana Cowgill, Colby Potts and Mike Dutton. Administrators present: Andy Edmondson, Ira Cruson, and Susan Armstrong. 

Keith Williax, Aaron Bishop and members of the HCEA were recognized as guests. 

A motion was made by Potts and seconded by Vaughn to reject the Fire Alarm System bids. McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Potts, yes; Cowsert, yes; Cowgill, yes; Dutton, yes; Vaughn, yes. 7 yes, 0 no, motion carried. 

Administrative Reports: The Board discussed the progress of the Baseball field project. Drain, net, fence and completion date issues were discussed. 

A motion was made by Belford and seconded by Dutton to enter into executive session at 7:06 p.m. Potts, yes; Cowsert, yes; Cowgill, yes; Dutton, yes; McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Vaughn, yes. 7 yes, 0 no, motion carried. 

A motion was made by Potts and seconded by Vaughn to exit executive session at 7:45 p.m. Cowsert, yes, Cowgill, yes; Dutton, yes; Vaughn, yes; McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Potts, yes. 7 yes, 0 no, motion carried. 

A motion was made by McDowell and seconded by Belford to adjourn the meeting at 7:46 p.m. Cowgill, yes; Dutton, yes; Vaughn, yes; McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Potts, yes; Cowsert, yes. 7 yes, 0 no, motion carried.
