There were 609 white students enrolled in Goreville Community Unit School District 1 in the 2021-22 school year, 3.2% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that Goreville Community Unit School District 1 welcomed 597 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white students comprised 97.3% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Goreville Community Unit School District 1 roughly covers schools within Johnson County and has a main office in Goreville.
