Union County Board of Commissioners met June 23.

I. Roll Call
Commissioners in attendance are Darryl Harvell, Kent Pitts, Max Miller, Brandon Bierstedt, and David Gould.
II. Call Meeting to Order
The Union County Board of Commissioners met for a regular meeting in the Union County Courthouse Community Room at 8:30 a.m. County Board Chairman Max Miller called the meeting to order.
III. Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Commissioner Gould and seconded by Commissioner Pitts for approval the meeting minutes for 6.9.2023.

V. Committee Reports
Commissioner Pitts reported that Animal Control is still extremely full and also the new building is still coming along.
Commissioner Harvell stated that the Annual Audit report came back really good.
Commissioner Gould stated that Shawnee Development had a meeting last week but had issues with their Zoom so it was a short meeting.

B. Southern Seven Health Department Head Start & Financial Updates-
Jennifer Parks & Sarah Goddard
Jennifer Parks stated that they currently have two classrooms at Jonesboro School, one classroom in Cobden and one in Dongola. They are hoping to provide 24 more slots to Children in need. These would be home based slots due to not having a building currently.
C. Resolution Appointing Commissioner of Lick Creek Public Water District
A motion was made by Commissioner Miller and Seconded by Commissioner Gould to Reappoint Rosemary Cates as Commissioner of Lick Creek Public Water District with her new term ending May 31st, 2026.

X. Other Business - Treasurer Leigh Burns updated that The Tax bills were mailed out on June 20th with due dates of July 20th,2023 and September 20th,2023. Mobile Home bills will go out on July 20th, 2023.
