Hardin County Community Unit School District 1 Board of Education met May 25.

The Special called meeting of the Hardin County Community Unit School District No. 1 met in the board room at the District office. The meeting was called to order by Gene Fatheree at 6:31 p.m. Present were: Gene Fatheree, Greg McDowell, Britt Belford, Ryan Cowsert, and Mike Dutton. Colby Potts and Jana Cowgill were absent. Administrators present: Andy Edmondson and Susan Armstrong.
Members of the HCEA were recognized as guests. Melinda Foster with the HCEA inquired about the replacement of interior doors.
Administrative report: Susan Armstrong gave a review and update on activities that had taken place this month. She gave report on the Senior trip, NHS inductions, Kindergarten graduation, Elementary awards, and HS Baseball regional championship. She also reported that we would be working with Vienna School District with a program called Education Career Pathways. Mr. Edmondson gave review of grant project updates, donation of old softball bleachers to Khoury League, Faiths Law, Charging stations, and goals for next HCEA contract. He also reported that on his days planned for vacation.

A motion was made by Belford and seconded by Fatheree to approve the District Final Calendar. Belford, yes; Cowsert, yes; Dutton, yes; McDowell, yes; Fatheree, yes. 5 yes, 0 no, motion carried.
A motion was made by Dutton and seconded by Cowsert to approve a 3 year contract with Kemper for the District audit. Cowsert, yes; Dutton, yes; McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Fatheree, yes.

A motion was made by Cowsert and seconded by McDowell to approve the District continued participation in the CEP program. Cowsert, yes; Dutton, yes; McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Fatheree, yes.

A motion was made by Dutton and seconded by Belford to approve the FFA trip to Holiday World, July 13th. Dutton, yes; McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Cowsert, yes; Fatheree, yes. yes, 0 no, motion carried.
A motion was made by Belford and seconded by Fatheree to approve the Telecom Easement agreement with Shawnee Communications. Dutton, yes; McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Cowsert, yes; Fatheree, yes. 5 yes, 0 no, motion carried.
A motion was made by McDowell and seconded by Cowsert to approve the Intergovernmental agreement with PCG. McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Cowsert, yes; Dutton, yes; Fatheree, yes. 5 yes, 0) no, motion carried.
A motion was made by Cowsert and seconded by Belford to approve the update to the ISP school user agreement. Belford, yes; Cowsert, yes; Dutton, yes; McDowell, yes; Fatheree, yes. 5 yes, 0 no, motion carried.
A motion was made by Belford and seconded by Fatherce to approve the tentative amendment to the 2022-23 District Budget and to place it on display for inspection with the Budget hearing to be held on June 26.
