Community Unit School District 201 Board of Education met March 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the Board:

CALL TO ORDER On March 14, 2023 at 5:12 p.m., President Hoover called to order the special meeting of the Community Unit School District 201 Board of Education. 

ROLL CALL Members present: Adina Hoover, Laura Coyle, Carlos Hevia, Kevin Marren, Leah Conover, Jessica Radogno, Angela Steketee 

Also present: Jack Baldermann, incoming superintendent and Anthony Ruelli, CSBO 

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE President Hoover led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. 

PUBLIC COMMENT 

DISCUSSION 

CUSD 201 Vision Mr. Jack Baldermann and Anthony Ruelli discussed the vision for CUSD 201. They discussed the following topics: 

District-wide Reading Initiative 

District-wide Math Articulation and Initiative 

Social Emotional Learning Supports and Programming for all Students 

Every School in our District will be recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community 

• Finances in CUSD 201 

Facilities in CUSD 201 

Dual Language Program 

CLOSED SESSION Motion by Ms. Conover, second by Ms. Coyle, to enter closed session to discuss personnel. 

Ayes: Conover, Radogno, Hevia, Coyle, Marren, Steketee, Hoover 

Nays: None 

Motion Carried. 

Board entered closed session at 7:37 p.m. 

Board returned to open session at 8:26 p.m. 

ADJOURNMENT Motion by Ms. Steketee, second by Ms. Coyle, to adjourn the March 14, 2023 special meeting of the Board of Education at 8:26 p.m. 

Motion unanimously passed.
