Q4 2022 Recap: 2 parolees from Johnson County convicted of crimes against persons set for release

There were two offenders convicted of crimes against persons living in Johnson County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Southern Illinois News.

The data shows both of the released offenders among the parolees were men. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 51. The younger parolee was a 42-year-old man sentenced in 2021, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man sentenced in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Lonnie L. Mann Jr. He was convicted in 2018 when he was 55 years old. He is now 60.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of crimes against persons were paroled during the fourth quarter of 2022 in each Illinois county.
