Q3 2022 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Alexander County?

There were four offenders living in Alexander County released on parole during the third quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows three men and one woman were released in Alexander County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 41. The youngest parolee was a 30-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2022, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Richard Hale Jr.. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017 when he was 57 years old. He is now 62.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
