New Simpson Hill Community School District 32 Board of Education met Feb. 13.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

President Hoffard called the regular board meeting of February 13, 2023, to order at 6:00PM. 

Present were: Hoffard, Mize, Ross, Hill, Widowski, Treat, and Baity.

Administration present:  Mr. Nighswander and Ms. Yandell Visitors: None

Motion by Mize seconded by Treat to approve the regular minutes of the 01-09-23 board meetings, carried.

Motion by Hill seconded by Widowski to approve the financial report as presented and payment of the bills as listed in the amount of $46,612., carried.

ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: Enrollment/Mobility Report; Calendar/Menu; Property Tax Relief Grant; Attorney fees; E-Learning

Motion by Hill seconded by Baity to authorize the Superintendent to seek price quotes for the FY24 for supplies and services, carried.

Motion by Widowski seconded by Mize to set tentative graduation date as Tuesday, May 16th 2023, if all snow days are not used, carried.

Motion by Baity seconded by Hill to approve JAMP polices 2:100, 2:105, 2:150, 2:210, 2:250, 2:265, 3:10, 4:10, 4:55, 4:140, 4:165, 5:20, 5:120, 5:170, 5:190, 5:220, 5:250, 5:260, 5:280, 5:320, 5:330, 6:15, 6:20, 6:250, 6:255, 6:260, 6:270, 6:340, 6:50, 6:60, 6:65, 7:10, 7:100, 7:180, 7:250, 7:285, 7:290, 7:340, 7:50, 7:70, carried.

Motion by Treat seconded by Ross to convene to closed session at 7:00 PM to discuss:

Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employee of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), carried.

Motion by Treat seconded by Widowski to resume open session at 7:08 PM, carried.

Motion by Treat seconded by Mize to accept the Superintendent evaluation as presented, carried.

Motion by Treat seconded by Ross to adjourn, carried.
