Hagerman Earns Fifth Career GLVC Bowling Athlete of the Week Award
McKendree University women's bowling senior Rebecca Hagerman was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Bowling Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. Hagerman's honor marks the seventh weekly award of the year for McKendree women's bowling.
Hagerman earns her fifth career award following her performance at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic last weekend. With a traditional average of 229.2 pins and Baker average of 206.1 pins, Hagerman finished third out of 181 bowlers to earn a spot on the All-Tournament team. Throughout the three-day competition, Hagerman registered a 61.2 strike percentage, 84.8 fill percentage, and a 91.6 single-pin spare percentage to help the Bearcats to a second-place finish.
Hagerman's award marks her third of the 2022-23 season and seventh for the Bearcats as graduate student Hope Gramly and junior Isabel Allen have each been honored twice for the year. Allen was the last Bearcat to earn the weekly accolade on February 24.
McKendree women's bowling kicks off the GLVC tournament on Friday, March 24 at the Strike 'N Spare II in Lockport, Ill.
