Domask, Jones and Johnson Earn MVC Postseason Honors

Marcus Domask, Lance Jones, and Xavier Johnson were honored Wednesday night in St. Louis as the Missouri Valley Conference announced its annual postseason teams. Domask was named First Team All-MVC, Jones was named Third Team All-MVC, and both Jones and Johnson were named to the MVC's All-Defensive Team.

Domask started all 31 games for the Salukis this season and led the team in scoring (17.0), rebounding (5.8), and assists (3.2). The Waupun, Wisconsin native scored in double-digits in 27 of 31 games this season and scored 20 or more 10 times. The forward scored 30 points three times this season with a season-high 32 coming against Illinois State. He currently ranks ninth in career scoring in program history and is the active MVC scoring leader with 1,591 points.

Jones was second on the team in scoring with 14 points per game while leading the Salukis from behind the arc. The guard connected on a team-high 68 3-pointers while scoring in double-figures 23 times during the regular season. He ranks fifth in program history with 203 3-pointers made in 117 games.

Jones was also named to the All-Defensive Team along with Johnson. The duo ranked in the top-5 for much of the season in steals but also directed the Saluki defense which allowed just 61.6 points per game this season to rank 16th nationally. Jones led the MVC with 51 steals while Johnson ranks sixth with 46. Jones' 51 steals rank 20th in single-season steals in program history.
