The City Council of the City of Vienna met in regular session, Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Vienna City Hall with the following members and guest:

There being a quorum, Mayor Penrod called the meeting of the Vienna City Council to order at 6:30 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS
Alderman Racey made a motion to Authorize and Approve the Omnibus Consent Agenda consisting of the January 4, 2023 council meeting minutes, the Warrant ($19,405.14), and December Treasurer Report. Alderman Tuey seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
Alderman Hill made a motion to Authorize and Approve an agreement between the Little Egypt Shows and the City of Vienna for the Spring Fling Carnival, May 5-6, 2023. Alderman Tuey seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
Alderman Pitts made a motion to Authorize and Approve reimbursement request of $10,000.00 from John D. Tanner for New Home Development Program- North 5th Street project. Alderman Owen seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.

ELECTED/APPOINTED OFFICIALS
Wright said all elected officials would need to file economic interest statements with the county clerk.
Alderman Hill questioned the status on the Fairgrounds lot. Council had brief discussion.
Alderman Tuey discussed the Fourth of July celebration with council. A tentative date was set for Monday, July 3rd. Tuey said the fire department was still waiting to receive quotes for display cost.
Alderman Moore discussed the October Fall Fest with council. Vendor and food truck fees were discussed. Installation of additional electric in the city park was also discussed.
Alderman Owen mentioned possible sidewalk replacement on North 7th Street near the new courthouse construction.
Penrod said the fire department roof was inspected and the city would receive a quote.
Penrod said a youth community program through Arrowleaf would be approaching the city council to propose a city park improvement project.
Penrod said bidding for utility work would begin this summer for the 146 East project. Penrod said gas line relocation permits would be obtained by Utility Safety and Design (USDI) through IDOT for the city. Penrod said per IDOT, the city would be responsible for the electric charges for roundabout lighting.
Penrod informed the council he had spoken with Milestone Water District concerning the city purchasing water opposed to the city making it. Penrod said more information would be obtained for future discussion and consideration.
As there was no further business to discuss, Alderman Pitts made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Alderman Tuey. Mayor Penrod adjourned the meeting at 7:25 p.m.
