Hardin County Community Unit School District 1 Board of Education met Nov. 28.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Regular meeting of the Hardin County Community Unit School District No. 1 met in the board room at the District office. The meeting was called to order by Greg Warren at 6:30 p.m. Present were, Nick McDowell, Greg McDowell, Colby Potts and Britt Belford. Denise Littrell, Greg Warren and Gene Fatheree were absent. Administrators present: Andy Edmondson and Susan Armstrong. Ira Cruson was absent

Members of HCEA were recognized as guests.

A motion was made by Potts and seconded by Belford to approve the consent agenda as presented. G. McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Potts, yes; N. McDowell, yes. 4 yes, 0 no, motion carried.

A motion was made by Belford and seconded by McDowell to approve SIJHSAA intent to play for 2023. Belford, yes; Potts, yes; N. McDowell, yes; G. McDowell, yes. 4 yes, 0 no, motion carried.

A motion was made by G. McDowell and seconded by Potts to approve the Press Policy updates. Potts, yes; N. McDowell, yes; G. McDowell, yes; Belford, yes. 4 yes, 0 no, motion carried.

A motion was made by Potts and seconded by N. McDowell to approve the Elevate contract for Live Streaming instruction. Belford, yes; Potts, yes; N. McDowell, yes; G. McDowell, yes. 4 yes, 0 no, motion carried.

A motion was made by Belford and seconded by N. McDowell to enter into executive session at 6:52 p.m. N. McDowell, yes; G. McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Potts, yes. 4 yes, 0 no, motion carried.

A motion was made by N. McDowell and seconded by G. McDowell to exit executive session at 7:23 p.m. N. McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Potts, yes; G. McDowell, yes. 4 yes, 0 no, motion carried.

A motion was made by Potts and seconded by Belford to approve Sharon Patton as Freshman class sponsor. G. McDowell, yes; Belford, yes; Potts, yes; N. McDowell, yes. 4 yes, 0 no, motion carried.

A motion was made by G. McDowell and seconded by Potts to adjourn the meeting at 7:24 p.m. Belford, yes; Potts, yes; N. McDowell, yes; G. McDowell, yes. 4 yes, 0 no, motion carried.
