INFORMATION/DISCUSSION
Athletic Bus Purchase
Anthony Ruelli, CSBO, gave the Board an update on the athletic bus. Currently the athletic bus owned by the District is from 2006. On September 23, 2022, the District held a bid opening; the District received one bid from Central Busing, which is also the state contractor. With Central Busing the District could have the option to lease with the option to buy, or to purchase the bus. The cost of the bus is budgeted for this fiscal year. The athletic bus will be presented at the October 25, 2022 meeting for approval.
Parent Teacher Conferences
In the fall of 2020 the District switched to virtual conferences due to the pandemic. Superintendent Carey has heard from staff and parents they would like to have in person conferences. After the conferences this fall Superintendent Carey would like to get some feedback and bring it back to the Board to review. One of the considerations would be for a hybrid model, which would give families an opportunity to choose.
2023-2024 Calendar
The Calendar Committee met in October to discuss the calendar for the 2023-2024 school year. They are presenting two options at the meeting tonight for the Board to review. The Board has requested some more information regarding the dates chosen for the start date of school. The calendar will be presented again for discussion and approval at the October 25, 2022 meeting.
