Hagerman Tabbed as GLVC Women's Bowling Athlete of the Week

For the first time this season and third time in her collegiate career, McKendree senior All-American Rebecca Hagerman (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) has been named this week's Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Bowling Athlete of the Week.

Hagerman, who was honored two times last season, becomes the second Bearcat women's bowler honored this season as graduate student Hope Gramly (Prosper, Texas/Prosper) has been honored two times by the league as she was recognized on Oct. 28 and Nov. 11.

Hagerman earns this week's GLVC Women's Bowling Athlete of the Week accolade after finishing third overall in the 82-competitor field at last weekend's MOTIV Ladyjack Classic in Kenosha, Wis. At the event hosted by Stephen F. Austin, Hagerman was named to the All-Tournament Team after recording a total pinfall of 1,163 for an average of 232.6 in her six traditional games. In addition, she averaged 219.3 in her Baker games. She also registered a 58.3 strike percentage, a 92.5 overall spare percentage and a 91.1 single-pin spare percentage.

Hagerman's performance helped the top-ranked and defending NCAA Champion Bearcats win the team title at the MOTIV Ladyjack Classic as they posted a 12-2 record and a total pinfall of 15,430 and an average of 214.3 in 72 games. The Bearcats posted a 4.5-2.5 win over No. 2 ranked Vanderbilt in the championship match to earn its first tournament title of the 2022-23 season.

Hagerman and the Bearcats close out the fall portion of its 2022-23 schedule this weekend (Nov. 19-20) as they host the McKendree Match Games at St. Clair Bowl in Fairview Heights, Ill.
