New Simpson Hill School District 32 Board of Education met Oct. 13.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

President Hoffard called the regular board meeting to order at 6:02PM.  

Present were: Hoffard, Mize, Hill, Widowski, Treat, and Baity. Ross was absent.

Administration present:  Mr. Nighswander Visitors: None

Motion by Treat seconded by Baity to approve the regular and budget hearing minutes of the 9-15-22 board meetings, carried.

Motion by Widowski seconded by Hill to approve the financial report as presented and payment of the bills as listed in the amount of $35,431., carried.

ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: Bonds; Enrollment Report; Mobility Report; Calendar 

Motion by Mize seconded by HIll to approve the FY22 audit as presented, carried.

Motion by Treat seconded by Baity to approve the Administrators Salary and Benefits Report as presented, carried.

Motion by Mize seconded by Widowski to approve the FY23 library grant as presented, carried.

Motion by Treat seconded by Widowski to accept the price quote for propane from Southern Illinois Propane as presented, carried.

Motion by Hill seconded by Widowski to convene to closed session at 7:02 PM to discuss:

Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employee of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) carried.

Motion by Treat seconded by Widowski to resume open session at 7:45 PM, carried.

Motion by Hill seconded by Mize to approve health insurance renewal plan as presented, carried.

Motion by Hill seconded by Baity to adjourn, carried.
