Illinois State Rep. Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona) recently shared photos of his visit to Herrin.
"Herrin Tigerettes giving back to the Community with hamburgers and hot dogs at Black Diamond Harley! Fun with parents and young ladies from Herrin! Then also saw Black Diamond’s Museum! Great collection of collectible motorcycles!" Jacobs wrote in an Oct. 31 Facebook post.
Jacobs was first elected to the Illinois House in 2020. A Republican, his legislative experience includes serving on the Tourism Committee and Higher Education. Jacobs is a state representative who resides in Pomona, according to the Illinois House.
South West Illinois News reported that Jacobs was recently endorsed by the Associated Firefighters of Illinois.
"Thank you to the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois for your endorsement," Jacobs said in a recent Facebook post. "I am proud to support our brave fire fighters!"
Jacobs also received the endorsement of fellow Republican House colleague Rep. Patrick Windhorst (R-Harrisburg), South West Illinois News reported.
“I am proud to have the endorsement of my good friend, fellow State Representative, brilliant legal mind, and true public servant Windhorst,” Jacobs wrote on Facebook. “Windhorst has been leading the fight against reckless anti-police policies.” Jacobs was also endorsed by Rep. Blaine Wilhour (R-Effingham) recently. "I am proud to have the support of my good friend and fellow Southern Illinois Republican State Representative Blaine Wilhour in my race for re-election," Jacobs posted on Facebook. "Blaine is a strong advocate for the conservative agenda, and fights to protect life, and our Second Amendment Rights. Thank you, Blaine!”
