Women's soccer drops 3-1 match at Rose-Hulman

The women's soccer team traveled to Rose-Hulman on Wednesday night and returned with a 3-1 loss to the Engineers.

RHIT scored goals in the 16th and 24th minutes of the match to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Both teams tallied a goal in the second half with Rose-Hulman expanding their lead to 3-0 in the 57th minute before Jen De Leon De Leon recorded her second goal of the season in the 85th minute of the match. De Leon De Leon received an assist on her goal from Emma Cadwell.

Rose-Hulman finished the match with a 12-5 shot advantage and an 8-1 edge in corner kicks.

Jordan Peebles, De Leon De Leon, Allyson Schulz, and Kiera Coleman all had shots on goal for Greenville.

Addison Miller played all 90 minutes for GU as goalkeeper and totaled two saves after facing five shots on goal.

The Panthers (1-2) travel to Carthage on Saturday for a match at 1 p.m.
