Windhorst: 'Today I was proud to host friends and supporters for my first ever Franklin County golf outing fundraiser'

Rep. Patrick Windhorst says he is extremely proud to host his friends and supporters at the Franklin County golf outing fundraiser.

In an Aug. 26 Facebook post, Windhorst shared his Franklin County golf outing fundraiser experience.

"Today I was proud to host friends and supporters for my first ever Franklin County golf outing fundraiser in support of my campaign to be the new 117th district State Representative," Windhorst said. "I want to thank my good friend State Representative Dave Severin for attending and introducing me. Several elected officials and candidates were on hand as well. Also, a big thank you to my team of volunteers, including folks from Franklin, Williamson, and Saline County Republican groups. The course was in excellent shape and it was a great day for golf. Thank you for your generous support!”

Patrick Windhorst was first elected to the Illinois House in 2018. A Republican, their legislative experience includes serving on the Restorative Justice Committee and Judiciary - Criminal. Windhorst is a state representative who resides in Metropolis, according to the Illinois House.

Windhorst recently let his constituents know about a scholarship program for individuals who need to renew their commercial driver's licenses. 

In an Aug. 16 Facebook post, Windhorst shared information on a scholarship program for individuals needing to obtain or renew their Commercial Driver's License “The Illinois Pork Producers Association offers a scholarship program for applicants seeking to obtain or renew their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in Illinois. Download the application at the link below," Windhorst posted.

He also spent some time with radio host Tom Miller to talk about a variety of issues. "We spoke about property taxes, gas and sales taxes, inflation, energy policy, jobs, and the impact all these issues are having on the people of Southern Illinois."
