Illinois state Rep. Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) will host a golf scramble on Friday at the Franklin County Country Club in West Frankfort to benefit his reelection campaign for the 117th District House seat.
Windhorst posted details of the event on Facebook, noting that tickets to participate in the scramble are $125 per person or $500 for a team. He also said in the post that registration will begin at 7 a.m. at the club, located at 11058 Country Club Road.
“Please join us for our campaign's golf scramble on August 26 at the Franklin County Country Club!” he said in the post.
Festivities kick off with a shotgun start slated for 8:30 a.m., with lunch catered by Uncle Joe’s; the event’s Facebook page said. Sponsorship opportunities remain, with prices set at $250, $500 and $1,000. The post also noted that checks for sponsorships or to participate in the scramble could be made out to Citizens for Patrick Windhorst, PO Box 763, Metropolis, IL 62960.
The representative was first elected to the Illinois House in 2018, the Illinois General Assembly website said. He has served on numerous committees, including the Restorative Justice Committee and Judiciary - Criminal.
Windhorst ran unopposed in the June 28 primary for the 117th District, a Peoria Journal Star report said.
