New Simpson Hill District 32 Board of Education met March 17.

President Hoffard called the regular board meeting to order at 6:00PM.
Present were: Hoffard, Mize, Ross, Hill, Widowski, and Treat. Baity was absent.
Administration present: Mr. Nighswander and Mrs. Armstrong Visitors: Tom Gray
Motion by Hill seconded by Ross to approve the minutes of the 2-10-22 board meeting, carried.
Motion by Treat seconded by Hill to approve the financial report as presented and payment of the bills as listed in the amount of $71,493., carried.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: Enrollment/Mobility; Calendar;

Motion by Mize seconded by Treat to accept the 2022-23 fees as presented, carried.
Motion by Treat seconded by Widowski to convene to closed session at 7:44 PM to discuss:
Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employee of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) carried.
Motion by Treat seconded by Hill to resume open session at 9:30PM, carried.
Motion by Treat seconded by Hill to approve the Principal evaluation as presented, carried.
Motion by Mize seconded by Widowski to approve the teacher evaluations as presented, carried.
Motion by Treat seconded by Hill to accept the registration letter of Brea Bain effective June 30,2022, carried.
Motion by Treat seconded by Mize to approve the employment of Jacob Edmonds as evening custodian effective April 4, 2022, carried.
Motion by Hill seconded by Mize to approve the Principal Contract of Candace Armstrong as presented, carried.
Motion by Hill seconded by Treat to authorize the Superintendent to advertise for a teaching position, carried.
Motion by Mize seconded by Hill to authorize the Superintendent to advertise for an aide’s position, carried.
Motion by Treat seconded by Hill to not adopt the NSEJ sex education curriculum, carried.
Motion by Treat seconded by Hill to adjourn, carried.
