City of Vienna City Council met April 20.

The City Council of the City of Vienna met in regular session at Vienna City Hall with the following members and guest:
ELECTED/APPOINTED OFFICIALS PRESENT: Steve Penrod, Mayor Angela Moore, Alderman Richard Owen, Alderman Austin Tuey, Alderman Alan Racey, Alderman Ron Pitts, Alderman Melissa Hill, Alderman Shane Racey, Superintendent Aleatha Wright, City Clerk
ELECTED/APPOINTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Jim Miller, Police Chief Michelle Meyers, Treasurer Brent Williams, Fire Chief

There being a quorum, Mayor Penrod called the meeting of the Vienna City Council to order at 6:30 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS
Mayor Penrod noted that the warrant included costs for emergency roof repairs at the water plant totaling $5,700.00. Alderman Hill made a motion to Authorize and Approve the Omnibus Consent Agenda consisting of the April 6, 2022 council meeting minutes, March Treasurer Repo Warrant, $8,440.52. Alderman Owen seconded the motion. All in favor motion carried.
Mayor Penrod opened sealed bids for a 1985 American General military truck and two 2- 8x14 military trailers.
Military Truck bids were as follows:
Robin Fiscus, $2,900.00
White Farms, $2,650.00
Terra Pro Excavating, $7,011.00
Rick Morse, $4,850.00
Loverkamp Farms, LLC, $5,300.00
Bryan Bunting, $7,000.00
Paul Smith, $2,551.00 Don Alstat- $8,700.77
Military Trailer bids were as follows:
Terra Pro Excavating, Trailer #1, $200.00 and Trailer #2, $200.00
Rick Morse, Trailer #1, $250.00 and Trailer #2, $175.00
Isaiah Jackson Co., Trailer #1, $251.00 and Trailer #2, $251.00
Council was in consent to accept bid from Don Alstat in the amount of $8,700.77 for the 1985 military truck and accept bid for 2-military trailers from Isaiah Jackson Co. in the amount of $251.00 for each trailer.
Alderman Pitts made a motion to Authorize and Approve quote from Hi-Tech Computers for 5 dell desktop computers, 5-displayport to HDMI cables, 5- LED monitors, HP Laser MFP printer, toner, and labor costs- $2,799.00(General Funds). Alderman Tuey seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
Alderman Moore made a motion to Authorize and Approve Resolution 22-03, A Water Resolution requesting a permit from the Illinois Department of Transportation to construct, occupy, and maintain a 1-inch water main (service) along and under IL 146/E Vine St. Alderman Racey seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT None
ELECTED/APPOINTED OFFICIALS
Clerk Wright announced a reminder for the spring cleanup scheduled for Monday, April 25th. Wright said the citywide yard sale was scheduled for June 3 & 4th. Wright also said email invoicing for utility billing was set up and running.
Supt. Racey expressed appreciation for the public works department concerning many ongoing city projects.
Alderman Moore thanked Supt Racey and all volunteers involved with the community easter egg hunt. Moore also questioned the status of the interstate off ramp litter cleanup.
Alderman Owen said a first draft of the city's emergency plan was completed.
Alisa Sowers, Depot, mentioned National Tourism Week May 1-7th. Sowers updated council on tourists that have visited the depot.
Mayor Penrod thanked Alderman Moore for her leadership and work on a successful community easter egg hunt.
Penrod said the water plant telemetry project was almost completed, thanking Herb Hosfeldt and Dale Leggett for their assistance with the project.
Penrod said he had attended the Tri-State food bank dedication ceremony in honor of the late Andy Sisulak.
Penrod said 2022 motor fuel tax estimates were completed by Supt Racey and Haley Ing, Clarida & Zeigler, and would be placed on the next agenda for approval.
As there was no further business to discuss, Alderman Pitts made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Alderman Tuey. Mayor Penrod declared the meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
