JEA rep Beth Miller, Beth Hileman school sub nurse, Parent and nurse Jodie Stewart. Beth Miller read a letter from the JEA thanking the board for allowing them to work from school or home when on remote. Also for supporting them through the rough time dealing with covid.

V. School Administration Reports:

Special meeting dealing with COVID and legislative items. HB 2778 was vetoed by the governor in relation to covid days for staff. Governor is rewriting the bill in hopes to be able to sign it.

Mask lawsuit is in the hands of a judge in springfield. Judge is leaning toward siding with Parents, going against the governor's rules. Legal advice from the school attorney is to stay with what we are doing no matter what the ruling is until it goes to appellate court. The school could deal with backlash from families who send kids to school without masks

Rural health and southern 7 have been the contacts for the school in relation to contact tracing and quarantine issues up until about 2 weeks ago. Southern 7 is no longer involved in this matter. We are supposed to talk with them if we have to go on a break. Rural Health (Jodie) has been a contact still at this time.

Rural health positivity numers have been 60% + until this week. Dropped to 56-59%

School are solely responsible for contact tracing and isolation issues

Talked about extra curricular activities and remote learning. We allowed games to be played over the last couple of weeks due to being regionals for boys and girls basketball. This item will be addressed at the next meeting in February. Will vote on this. Options to allow playing will be looked at as well

At the moment the school has 4 positive cases. Two staff and two students.

Raising sub pay for aides and teachers will be looked at in February.

Adding a full time sub is an option
