New Simpson Hill School District #32 Board of Education met Nov. 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Vice President Hill called the regular board meeting to order at 6:13 PM.

Present were: Mize, Hill, Widowski, Treat, and Baity. Hoffard and Ross were absent.

Administration present: Mr. Nighswander

Motion by Treat seconded by Widowski to approve the minutes of the 10-14-21 regular board meeting, carried.

Motion by Mize seconded by Baity to approve the financial report as presented and payment of the bills as listed in the amount of $169,141., carried.

ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: Enrollment/Mobility, Calendar/Menu, Parent Survey

Motion by Treat seconded by Widowski to approve a tentative tax levy as presented, carried.

Motion by Baity seconded by Widowski to approve the tentative American Rescue Plan as presented, carried.

Motion by Mize seconded by Treat to approve the School Report Card as presented, tabled.

Motion by Baity seconded by Widowski to convene to closed session at 7:24 pm to discuss:

Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employee of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)

Motion by Treat seconded by Baity to resume open session at 8:31, carried.

Motion by Mize seconded by Widowski to approve a stipend to the athletic director in the amount of $2000.00, carried.

Motion by Baity seconded by Treat to approve a raise to Nate Betts in the amount of $875.00, carried.

Motion by Mize seconded by Treat to adjourn, carried.
