Q2 Parolee Recap: Who was paroled in Pope County?

There was one offender living in Pope County released on parole during the second quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows the released offender was a woman. She was convicted of a crime against a person in 2017, when she was 26.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2021 in each Pope County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
